Sports Performance Training
Maximize performance, prevent injury, and become a better athlete with our elite sports performance programs.
May PT and Performance offers sports performance programs for collegiate, high
school, and youth athletes. We focus on complete athletic development to improve how you move and perform your sport. Sessions are run by our certified Strength and Conditioning Coaches.
Our sports performance program can start out with an individual assessment to determine metrics such as vertical jump height, 20yd sprint time, 5-10-5 shuttle time, and others. We look at some of the basic movements patterns as well, such as the squat and hinge. We attempt to combine mobility, agility, strength, power, and endurance, aiming for a well rounded program for whatever sport your athlete participates in.
ALL OF OUR PROGRAMS INCLUDE:

Total Body Strength – Total body strength training that integrates the upper body, lower body, and core into a program that focuses on enhancing functional movements like squatting, hinging, lunging, pushing, and pulling.

Explosive Power – Development of vertical, linear, lateral, and rotational explosiveness through the use of plyometrics, jump training, medicine balls, and kettlebells.

Speed and Agility – Training to develop linear speed, lateral speed, change of direction, landing technique, acceleration, and deceleration through speed technique drills and running mechanics instruction.

Core Stability – Integration of core stability, strength, and power to maximize movement efficiency and power transfer.

Mobility and Flexibility – Development of proper total body mobility through self-myofascial release, foam rolling, stretching, and dynamic movement prep.

Injury Prevention – Focus on correcting specific imbalances, enhancing mobility issues, arm care, jumping and landing training.
Training Set-Up
